Oxford Technical Solutions is expanding…

OxTS was started in 1998 by two Oxford University Engineering graduates. Since then we have sustained continuous growth and 2008-2009 was our largest year yet. To support this continuous growth we need people, people dedicated to achieving high standards at work and who are proud of what they achieve. Many jobs have opportunities for international travel since more than 90% of our sales are overseas.

If you want to work for an expanding company, which leads the world with high technology products and takes pride in their achievements, then we would love to hear from you. Please apply using your CV and a covering letter to:

Please review the requirements and email any suitable candidates to Please type link in to browser, link missing due to junk mail. If you have any questions then please ask them by email and we will respond. Please do not call since we have far too many phone calls from recruitment consultants already. We have a fixed set of Terms and Conditions, which we are prepared to accept. By emailing us with a candidate you are accepting that our terms and conditions will override yours. Our terms and conditions can be downloaded here...

Speculative candidates through agencies must:
  1. Have the right to work permanently in the UK.
  2. Have mainly A's at A-level (or equivalent).
  3. Have a first class degree from a university. We would accept a 2:1 from universities that are exceptional in maths, physics, engineering or similar discipline.
  4. Optionally (but preferred) have a PhD in applied maths, or engineering discipline and where this project has involved some signal processing mathematics. They must be confident on using their mathematics.
  5. Be settled within 20 miles of Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire.

In addition they must have some experience of one or more of the following:

  1. Multi-layer PCB design, including surface mount components, preferably for mixed analog/digital systems.
  2. Experience using DSP processors, preferably Texas Instruments.
  3. Confidence with the mathematics that they learned at university and have used mathematics and/or signal processing as part of their employment. (We have interviewed lots of candidates who have degrees but who fail to answer GCSE questions in maths. During the interview there will be some far more complex questions that would be needed for a degree.) Recent graduates are suitable here but they will need an excellent grasp of maths.
  4. Experience with the mathematics for GPS receivers or inertial navigation systems and are able to derive the equations for these devices.
  5. Experience in designing and using Kalman filters for practical applications including understanding how the matricies for Kalman filters are derived.

We would recommend that candidates include evidence of their experience in these areas on their CV on in a separate covering letter.
