RT-Config IP Address Finder
Those of you who are lucky enough to have two or more RT3000 systems will have experienced the “oh which RT3000 do I have connected?” question when trying to run RT-Config. Well, help is at hand.
The latest version of RT-Config automatically searches for the RT3000 systems that are connected to your PC and lists them in a drop-down box.
This small addition has made it much easier now that the IP address and the serial number of the RT3000 are no longer synchronized. It is possible to change the IP address of the RT3000, the drop-down box then becomes essential for finding the IP address if you do not know it.
For this new feature to work, Enginuity or RT-Range cannot be running. Each port can only be opened by one program at a time on a computer. If Enginuity or RT-Range have opened it then RT-Config will not be able to. Unless the communication port to the RT3000 can be opened, it will not be possible to detect the RT3000 connected.
