Successful launch of new INERTIAL+ system

Oxford Technical Solutions launched its newly developed INERTIAL⁺ at the INTERGEO in Germany from 25 – 27 September 2007. The successful launch of the new system showed that there is a great demand for a lower cost inertial navigation system like the INERTIAL⁺. The INERTIAL⁺ is an inertial measurement system that is compatible with an external GPS receiver to give highly accurate position and orientation data. It provides smooth outputs without GPS jumps or dropouts even near trees or tall buildings which makes it an ideal system for all survey applications. The INERTIAL⁺ outputs its data over CAN bus, Serial and Ethernet in real-time with very low latency. Typical applications include Land survey, Aerial Survey and Remote Sensing, Road profiling, Asset management as well as GIS data acquisition.

Being compatible with most GPS receivers on the market, the INERTIAL⁺ is very easy to integrate in a current GPS only solution. Adding the INERTIAL⁺ to your GPS-receiver will not only provide smooth position data in difficult GPS environments but also output measurements like roll, pitch, true heading and slip angle with high accuracy.
