The European Economic Union’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive is aimed at reducing waste arising from electrical and electronic products. The WEEE directive makes producers responsible for the environmental impact of their products and encourages re-use, recovery, recycling and environmental disposal of electrical and electronic equipment.
OxTS Customer Responsibilities
It is necessary to recycle or dispose of WEEE separately from other waste and in an environmentally friendly way. Customers have to obtain and keep proof that WEEE was given to an approved waste management company or that it has been returned to the manufacturer who runs a compliance scheme.
OxTS is defined as a producer under the WEEE Regulations as we manufacture and sell electrical and electronic equipment. Our WEEE Producer Registration Number is WEE/CJ0499US/PRO. OxTS is currently registered with Valpak Ltd.

OxTS has marked its products that fall within the scope of the regulation with the official WEEE label. The WEEE mark is a crossed wheelie bin and date bar.
OxTS WEEE Recovery
OxTS recognises the importance of reducing the environmental impact of our products and is committed to recycling Electrical and Electronic Waste. Customers are invited to return any products they no longer need back to us for recycling, re-use and environmentally friendly disposal.
The customer is responsible for the shipment of such products back to our premises in the UK. Customers can return OxTS products containing the WEEE mark back to the address below. Please contact us for details if you wish to return any Electrical and Electronic Waste to us. We will then issue a WEEE returns number for you. Please note that slightly different rules apply for Electrical and Electronic Waste that has been put on the market before 13 August 2005.
