OxTS partner Dronezone srl had a requirement to conduct a UAV based LiDAR scan of an aging railway bridge on behalf of a client. The scan would be used to uncover potential weaknesses and ensure passenger safety.
Through quick and simple INS and LiDAR integration, Dronezone were able to boresight their sensors and create an accurate pointcloud. The resulting pointcloud would allow their customer to repeatably analyse every angle of the bridge to ascertain it’s structural integrity.
