OxTS enjoyed a successful show at the Automotive Testing Expo in Stuttgart, Germany from 17th – 19th May 2011.
Our booth featured the GPS-aided RT3000 Inertial measurement systems – the preferred choice for demanding vehicle dynamics tests when precision and accuracy cannot be compromised. The measurement systems output highly accurate orientation data and continuous position even in challenging GPS environments. Especially well received was the newly launched cone placement feature. This is a useful tool to help customers place cones accurately on proving grounds.
Most visitors came to receive more information about the RT-Range which is the most comprehensive tool for testing advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Especially the new RT-Range features attracted a lot of attention: Target vehicles can now be represented as polygons; calculations can be made in 2D or 3D reference frames; the heading and curvature of curved roads is output by the lane tracking algorithms; and status information for the targets is now available on the RT-Hunter CAN bus. This is on top of the established features such as 4 target vehicles, the ABD robot interface, local co-ordinates, range, velocity, acceleration and time to impact calculations. The RT-Range really is the most comprehensive ADAS test tool.
