NAVsuite 3.12 – now available to download!
NAVsuite is a complimentary set of software tools included with every purchase of an OxTS GNSS/INS device. The suite of products allows a user to configure their unit and monitor, post-process and analyse the data.
Version 3.12 is the latest iterative release of the software and includes a number of performance and usability improvements. The updates centre around enabling the xRED3000 to navigate more accurately in GNSS-denied environments and allowing OxTS devices to better constrain position drift when stationary in poor GNSS conditions. There is also a beta version of the new UCOM customisable data format.
What’s new in NAVSuite 3.12?
GNSS-denied timing now available on the xRED3000 GNSS/INS!
GNSS-denied timing is an important requirement for INS users that require localisation data in environments where GNSS signal is interrupted or blocked completely.
Launched in 2023, the xRED3000 is the OxTS board set designed for payload integrators who require accurate, reliable localisation data for autonomy and mapping applications.
NAVsuite 3.12 now includes the introduction of PTP and gPTP options for the xRED3000. This means that the device can now synchronise to external time sources making it ideal for integrators looking to build a GNSS/INS into their payload that can navigate accurately indoors.

Constrain position drift while stationary with IMU Zero Velocity Updates in post-process!
Open-road data collection is becoming a more common practice in many industries. Whether you’re an ADAS test engineer collecting data to analyse the performance of a new feature, or a mobile mapper collecting information for digital urban reconstruction – you need accurate navigation data for as much of your route as possible.
In open-road environments, GNSS signal can be regularly interrupted, meaning there is an increased chance of position drift occurring. In some cases, the effects of position drift can be heightened when a vehicle is stationary.
Now in NAVsuite 3.12, OxTS GNSS/INS users have the ability to constrain position drift while stationary – using zero velocity updates from the device’s IMU. Available in post-process, the new feature will increase the percentage of usable data available for analysis after a data collection exercise.
New UCOM data format – beta release
UCOM is a new proprietary data format that allows users to output a customisable set of measurements over ethernet – ideal for users looking to replace CAN or access measurements unavailable in NCOM.
An initial beta version of this feature, available in the latest firmware update, enables users to configure a custom data packet from a core set of measurements in NAVconfig.
