OxTS Christmas appeal 2022

Company News December 15, 2022

The OxTS team, dressed in our most festive jumpers (and in some cases, also Christmas-themed hats and/or socks) have donated a great number of food items for our Christmas foodbank collection this year.

Friendly competition between our two Oxfordshire sites, based at Park Farm Business Centre in Middleton Stoney, and Heyford Park in Upper Heyford, ensured that the donations kept coming.

HR Manager, Nikki Thompson, said,

“We wanted to do something to support our local community, so we opened our foodbank collection stations on Christmas jumper day and gave our teams a week to donate items. I have been overwhelmed – but not surprised – by the support the OxTS team has shown; it’s another thing that demonstrates the support we are all happy to provide for each other.”

The foodbank provided OxTS with a list of urgently needed items, including tinned tomatoes, rice pudding, and tinned fruit, as well as additional items they needed such as cereal, soup, tea/coffee, biscuits, and toiletries. These were donated in abundance, along with some Christmas chocolates and other ‘off list’ festive treats.

OxTS CEO, Alison Smith, said,

“There is a strong team spirit at OxTS, supporting our colleagues and wider community. At the moment, it seems that energy prices and other issues are making things particularly challenging on an almost global scale. Helping those in need of a little extra support at Christmas is something our team is very happy to get behind.”
