GNSS is the primary positioning technology for many of today’s autonomous vehicles, however poor GNSS satellite visibility can turn environments like dense urban canyons, ports and mines into no-go zones for autonomous vehicles – until now!

Real-time LiDAR aiding, due for release Q1 2025, fuses velocity updates from a LiDAR sensor, in real-time, into the OxTS navigation engine, to enable autonomous navigation without GNSS. Real-time LiDAR aiding customers can also navigate using existing digital LiDAR maps using OxTS’ map matching technology.
