OXTS solution

The OXTS solution for port logistics

Whether you’re retrofitting an AGV or building new autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), robust and accurate localisation is vital. OXTS can help you can create port robots that transition seamlessly between GNSS and GNSS-denied environments by combining inertial navigation data with real-time sensor fusion. On top of this, OXTS is completely ITAR-free, and able to handle fleet-level deployments with minimum complexity and setup time.

  • Smooth, high-quality PNT data from ruggedised ITAR-free hardware
Our GNSS/INS devices use careful calibration, sophisticated sensor fusion and an advanced navigation engine to deliver highly reliable data in a variety of environments.
  • Autonomy-specific features
Unlock specific capabilities in your GNSS/INS such as Hot Start initialisation, PTP synchronisation, and our unique LiDAR Boost technology that enables seamless GNSS-denied navigation.
  • Software to make your project easier
There is a wide variety of OXTS GNSS/INS for you to choose from. As well as our free NAVsuite applications for configuring and monitoring your GNSS/INS during build and test, we have autonomy-specific tools including ROS2 drivers designed to remove complexity from your project.

The heart of a market-leading port autonomy solution

Ports around the world are moving away from manual and infrastructure-based navigation for their ground vehicles. The right solution will cope effortlessly with changing layouts of TEUs, navigating seamlessly with no need for GNSS signal or infrastructure-based navigation. But with a wide range of technologies available, choosing the right one for your project can be a challenge.

OXTS GNSS/INS devices for autonomous vehicles in ports

OXTS GNSS/INS devices serve as the central hub for autonomous platforms in ports. Our devices provide a source of robust, reliable localisation data capable of performing in difficult GNSS conditions.

Precision control

GNSS/INS features for port logistics

To create a high-performing autonomous localisation solution you need the ability to initialise while stationary, and to synchronise clocks with other devices in the robotic control stack. The following optional features are all included in the autonomy feature bundle:

  • LiDAR Boost – Real time localisation data from a connected LiDAR enables seamless navigation in areas with patchy or no GNSS signal, and transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
  • PTP and gPTP synchronisation make it easy to synchronise multiple sensors to the precise clock of your OXTS GNSS/INS, or synchronise your INS with another device in your system.
  • Hot Start initialisation enables your GNSS/INS to initialise while stationary, even in environments where there is no GNSS signal.
  • UCOM gives you more control over your data outputs to simplify your architecture, increase safety, and more.

GNSS vs OXTS gx/ix tight-coupling technology…

An OXTS INS can integrate single-satellite aiding data into its navigation solution, and reduce the time taken to reacquire RTK lock, in real time. Using NAVSolve, you can reprocess your raw data and still benefit from gx/ix tight-coupling processing.
