Moving beyond navigation infrastructure
In order to adapt to changing market conditions and to capitalise on new opportunities, warehousing organisations need to be free to adapt their warehousing space to suit varied and changing needs. This impacts the autonomous mobile robots (AMR)s that many warehousing organisations use, as the infrastructure-based localisation solutions they currently use would limit the versatility of the warehousing space.
There are a range of different localisation technologies available to next-gen warehousing AMRs, all of which offer a different set of benefits, drawbacks, and balances of performance and cost.

Making our technology yours
Every OXTS GNSS/INS can be instantly customised for the work you need it to do – whether that’s navigation, georeferencing, or autonomous navigation.

GNSS/INS features for autonomous mining trucks
To create an attractive and commercially viable warehouse AMR you need robust navigation and user-friendly features. The following optional features can be enabled on OXTS GNSS/INS devices for autonomous navigation:
- LiDAR Boost – Real time localisation data from a connected LiDAR enables seamless navigation in areas with patchy or no GNSS signal, and transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
- gx/ix tight-coupling – Speeds up RTK reacquisition after transient but complete GNSS outage meaning more accurate navigation data for longer (see example below).
- Hot Start initialisation – enables your INS to initialise while stationary, even without a GNSS signal, so your AMR can initialise indoors – or underground.
- PTP and gPTP time synchronisation – master and client functionality makes it easier to integrate your GNSS/INS into an existing system.
- UCOM data messaging – gives you more control over your data outputs to simplify your architecture, increase safety, and more.
gx/ix™ tight-coupling processing
An OXTS INS can integrate single-satellite aiding data into its navigation solution, and reduce the time taken to reacquire RTK lock, in real time. Using NAVSolve, you can reprocess your raw data and still benefit from gx/ix tight-coupling processing.
