OxTS is delighted to announce that Thomas Ying is set to join the board of directors as technical director. Tom will take over from Terry Hurley, who is stepping down from his active role at the beginning of August to become a non-executive director. Tom will also take over Terry’s responsibilities on the management team for running the engineering area.
Tom comes to OxTS from his position as engineering director at Seaward Electronic Ltd, where he developed and delivered the product and technology roadmap for the company’s electrical test equipment. He previously worked at GE PII, where he delivered a range of complex pipeline inspection instruments for use in extremely harsh environments. He has more than 25 years’ experience in electronics design for safety-critical applications and has a strong track record of evaluating and introducing new technologies through early-stage prototypes.
We are confident that Tom’s appointment will support the growth and long-term success of OxTS.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Terry for his diligent service as R&D manager and technical director, during which time he transformed the engineering area with the dedicated support of the team leaders he has championed. Terry will continue to contribute to our success in his non-executive role.
