Today, OXTS is pleased to announce the launch of NAVsuite 3.14 – featuring the full release of UCOM.
UCOM is our next generation data format – purpose built for modern automotive testing and real-time autonomy workflows.
By combining the measurement flexibility of CAN with the speed and efficiency of Ethernet, UCOM ensures you are able to output all of the data you need directly from your device.
Built for speed. Designed to adapt.
Why UCOM?
-
37 predefined messages covering all major core and derived navigation measurements.
-
Fully customisable format to suit any application.
-
Future proofed for tomorrow’s measurement and timing requirements.
Upgrade your RT3000 v4, xRED or WayFinder device to the latest firmware using the link above to get access to UCOM now.
The following resources are available so you can get started on your integration – open-source C++ and Python decoders on GitHub, and the UCOM user manual on our support website.
Using an RT3000 v3, RT1003 v2, xNAV650 or AV200 v1? Contact support@oxts.com to get access to our UCOM beta firmware.
Free firmware upgrades now available!
We’re making firmware upgrades free for all supported devices – permanently.

What else is included in NAVsuite 3.14?
As well as UCOM, NAVsuite 3.14 also includes a number of updated features including:
PTP Slave Time in Post-Process
Sychronise your data to an external PTP/gPTP master.
In an expansion to our real time capability introduced in NAVsuite 3.10, NAVsolve now supports PTP/gPTP slave timing in post-process simulated mode, allowing users to reprocess data with adjusted settings and PPK corrections.
Look out for combined mode processing scheduled for release in 3.15.
Multiple POIs Output
Our multiple slip points feature has been expanded to include acceleration and velocity data.
Those interested in vehicle dynamics can now output track, slip, curvature, velocity, and acceleration from up to 8 configurable points of interest on a vehicle – via CAN and UCOM.
Please note: you’ll see we’ve changed the name of “Multiple Slip Points” to “Multiple POIs Output” to reflect this enhancement.
Static Initialisation Filters
Achieve more robust performance when starting in challenging GNSS conditions.
Prevents system initialisation until GNSS quality for position, attitude, and velocity meet the required standards – avoiding poor data caused by bad initialisation.
Combined Processing Enhancements
Achieve better post-processing results with no change to your workflow.
An improved fusion between forward and backward passes in combined mode now delivers more accurate position, attitude, and velocity during post-processing.
IMU10 Accuracy Model Enhancements
Improved alignment between reported and actual device performance.
All IMU10-based devices (RT3000 v4, xRED, WayFinder) now benefit from updated accuracy models that better reflect the true accuracy achieved by a device.
XCOM processing in NAVsolve CMD
Streamline workflows that use the RD file streaming feature.
NAVsolve CMD now supports direct processing of XCOM files. It will automatically detect the RD stream within the XCOM file and use this for navigation data processing.

In a testing environment where time and accuracy are critical, UCOM eliminates unnecessary complexity. Its streamlined structure and predefined messages enable teams to move faster, integrate easier, and scale smarter—without compromise.
If you want to know more about the new UCOM messaging format and the other features included in NAVsuite 3.14, join OXTS Product Manager, Jonathan Deacon at 14:00 hrs (BST) on Tuesday, 12th August as he provides attendees with a detailed insight into UCOM and highlights the other ‘must-see’ feature upgrades in NAVsuite 3.14.
By joining the webinar you will learn more about:
- The new measurements included in UCOM and how it streamlines automotive testing
- What you need to do to take advantage of UCOM
- How the other features new to NAVsuite 3.14 improve OXTS GNSS/INS performance and usability
