Manned Aerial Survey

Precision georeferencing that’s good for business

For manned surveying missions to remain commercially competitive against unmanned missions, high-quality survey data is vital, as is a simple and efficient workflow for gathering and post-processing data.

While the use of inertial navigation systems supported by GNSS signals is common in aviation and georeferencing, there is a wide range of different technologies available that offer varying balances of precision, robustness, and affordability.

GNSS/INS features for aerial surveying

Aerial mapping surveys requires an additional level of precision, and the ability to georeference LiDAR data if you’re conducting a LiDAR survey. The following optional features are all included in the LiDAR mapping feature bundle:

  • PTP and gPTP time synchronisation – Master and client functionality makes it easier to integrate your GNSS/INS into an existing payload.
  • External file logging – log data to an external storage device for longer missions.
  • OXTS Georeferencer – use Georeferencer to quickly and easily georeference your point cloud data, and to calibrate your LiDAR and GNSS/INS to improve point cloud quality.
