OxTS and Hesai
OxTS’ range of GNSS/INS devices, including the RT3000 v4, RT1003 v2, xNAV650 and xRED3000 work seamlessly alongside a wide range of Hesai LiDAR sensors.
By combining our highly accurate localisation data (position, heading, pitch/roll and timing) with raw data from a Hesai device, users can produce accurate groundtruth reference data for use in multiple applications including ADAS test and verification, autonomous vehicle navigation and mobile mapping.
Hesai LiDAR sensors can also be used alongside a range of OxTS software tools such as:
OxTS Georeferencer, which provides a user with a quick and simple way user to boresight their INS and LiDAR payload, and georeference their LiDAR data.
OxTS LiDAR Inertial Odometry (LIO) which uses velocity updates from a RoboSense LiDAR to contrain position drift in the absense of GNSS to improve navigation performance in traditionally tough environments like urban canyons.
“We have seen a real spike in interest in Hesai LiDAR integration since we launched version 1.2 of OxTS Georeferencer. We think this is testament to the quality of LiDAR sensors that Hesai supply”
Jacob Amacker, Product Engineer, OxTS
OxTS Georeferencer
Whether you need to create a digital map for autonomous vehicle navigation purposes, or you have a requirement to produce a pointcloud for a survey customer, OxTS Georeferencer can help.
OxTS Georeferencer will take the navigation measurements from any INS, and at the touch of button, georeference the LiDAR data from a range of Hesai sensors enabling quick, simple and accurate, 3D pointcloud creation.
Furthermore, users can use their existing navigation data to precisely boresight their payload using a simple data-driven method.
The data is fused using OxTS Georeferencer and can be viewed in many pointcloud viewer software applications.
