OxTS have just returned from a successful exhibition in Yokohama, Japan where we were participating in the JSAE – Asia’s leading automotive engineering show. We exhibited together with Dynatech, our experienced representative in Japan.
The show provided OxTS with the opportunity to showcase our popular RT Inertial and GPS navigation systems – the preferred choice for demanding vehicle dynamics tests when precision and accuracy cannot be compromised. This sophisticated measurement system attracted a great deal of interest from show visitors.
Most visitors came to receive more information about the RT-Range which is the most comprehensive tool for testing advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The new RT-Range features attracted a lot of attention: Target vehicles can now be represented as polygons; calculations can be made in 2D or 3D reference frames; the heading and curvature of curved roads is output by the lane tracking algorithms. This is on top of the established features such as 4 target vehicles, the ABD robot interface, car-to-pedestrian tests with our unique RT-Backpack system, and time-to-collision measurements. The RT-Range really is the most comprehensive ADAS test tool.
