Southern Cross University, a partner in the Reef Restoration and Adaption Program (RRAP), required an accurate way to record ship motion. Part of a wider project, they needed to measure a number of parameters including velocity, acceleration, pitch/roll, angle rate and heading amongst others.
The goal? To determine whether localised cloud brightening and/or fogging could be a temporary solution to alleviate stress on the Great Barrier Reef.
They turned to OxTS, and local Australian channel partner, Industrial Measurement Solutions (IMS), to help them solve their challenge.
